our respect for the ages past and desire to carry legacy of our great-grandmothers has led us to creation of a special collection in collaboration with tamara šimončíkova heribanova.
her long-lasting passion for traditional folk garments brought into her hands a magical and unique article from the long-forgotten era – over 150-year-old ceremonial baby blanket, which original use was at first wrapped in a mystery. she gradually kept uncovering symbolism in a captivating story of mother and newborn baby protection ritual by means of hanging the blanket over their bed straight after the childbirth.
together we have decided to bring this message to the present and used a fragment of the original cross-stich embroidery as a symbol of continuity.
in our collection we have chosen this magical aspect of motherhood in desire to design a contemporary, comfortable and minimalist clothing line.
a twig motive cross-stitch embroidery connecting all the garments represents happiness and love wishes and red colour of the thread personifies a protecting hand over the new life.
for the first time we have sewn from 100% organic cotton and introduced the new fold-over type of bodysuit in order to achieve the most newborn-friendly pieces, suitable for the very first moments with your baby. for the nightgown we have chosen pure cotton cloth, washable at higher temperatures.
simple lines of the design invoke the feeling, when a mother is enjoying her inner freedom in company of her baby, brought to this world thanks to her strength. however, the collection is dedicated to all women who appreciate having time for themselves, spiritual balance and the craft of our foremothers.
